Camping

Last week Matt and Kim went camping with some friends from the old days. On the first night,we tried to cook some foil dinners. As this was the first time that we have attempted foil-dinners on our own, we had some mishaps along the way. We made 3 dinner packets and cooked 2 initially. When we opened those two after cooking (much too long) on the fire, the black burned (charred rather) items in the packet were no longer recognizable. Luckily we had a 3rd (smaller) packet that we actually cooked to perfection and shared between us. Trial and error is the fun of camping right?! Our beautiful tent was a gift for Christmas and it worked great, especially in the Michigan humidity (the whole top half is large screen windows that allow tons of circulation). Other camping items were borrowed from a friend including one extremely useful fan that you can hang on the inside of your tent. The second day rained until 2 or 3 in the afternoon but that didn't stop us from going on a 6 mile "hike" in beautiful Michigan Forest. We had a great time!
